Graham Tinius

Graham is a Field Training Officer with the Chandler Police Department in Chandler, AZ. Graham has a degree in Evidence Technology from Phoenix College. He began his career as a Crime Scene Technician with the Chandler Police Department in 2001. In 2004 he was hired as an officer, and promoted to Field Training Officer in 2007.

In 2009, Graham assisted in rewriting the Field Training Program at Chandler PD. Graham is the recipient of a Meritorious Service Award, as well as a Unit Citation Award for his work in redesigning the Field Training Program and its implementation within the department. After receiving his General Instructor Certification from Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training in 2006, Graham has taught numerous classes to law enforcement, including Cultural Diversity, Adult Learning, Leadership, Ethics, Officer Safety, and FTO Schools. Graham has taught FTO schools for local, county and state law enforcement across the American Southwest, as well as US Army civilian police, civilian police and sheriff staff, and supervisors.

Graham Joined NAFTO in 2009. In 2011 Graham was elected as the Arizona State Chapter Vice President. Immediately Graham worked with other board members to evaluate and update the Field Training Officer School that AZNAFTO teaches on behalf of Arizona POST. In 2012 Graham was elected as State President for AZPOST, and launched a campaign to re-introduce regional FTO schools through the state of Arizona. Working with AZPOST and NAFTO Graham has instructed hundreds of Field Training Officers in both basic FTO schools, and FTO Refresher Schools.”

Graham is currently the training coordinator for NAFTO.
